内容梗概 (abstract) To meet the increasing demands of multi-homed multi-site systems connected through wide-area networks, various multipathing strategies have been developed. Among those strategies is Multipath TCP (MPTCP), which has many advantages such as ensured performance increase when multiple paths are available, increased stability, and backwards-compatibility with existing systems and networks. However, MPTCP operates on the transport layer and therefore has no control over the actual paths it will take in the network, which may collide with each other, limiting performance. We developed an algorithm and controller called Simple Multipath OpenFlow Controller (smoc) which provided basic topology-based multipath routing. The controller was tested on PRAGMA-ENT and we could confirm that our controller achieved better bandwidth utilization than normal spanning-tree algorithms.
